We've been working pretty hard behind the scenes to keep bringing new features to the site. Over the last couple of months we have developed, tested, and now released version 2.1. The most noticeable changes you will see are the updated pagination which should make navigating the site much easier and more pleasing to the eye. The URLs of many pages may have changed as we have removed the /sites/ subfolder. Other changes include:

Updated RSS/Atom feeds.

Corrected hits/view counters on site pages.

Better/prettier error & success messages.

Various administrative changes.

In version 2.2 we will be implementing many changes surrounding the search functionality. We hope to have that done very soon. Stay tuned!

The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages is a MediaWiki that spans all of the Elder Scrolls games, from Arena (1) to Oblivion (4). I personally used the wiki the entire time I played through Oblivion and the site offered outstanding strategy guides on everything from initial quests, main paths and even end-game content. The site is a must for anyone interested in the series.

The Oblivion section of the wiki is broken down by Character, Gameplay, Quest, World and Technical Support. Because Oblivion is such a large RPG, there is a ton of different things to do and really an endless amount of possibilities. So it is incredible to find a site that has as many details as this does. The Quest section alone covers every quest in the game and breaks them into multiple categories - from quests which should be done early on to quests that make you evil or those that offer you certain armor sets.

This site is hands down the best best Oblivion resource I have seen yet. If you ever play the game, I recommend that you stop by.

More often than not, great screenplay adaptations or influential records are the product of individual creativity. Hence the treasure trove of indie films and underground tunes that can be found with just a little bit of digging.

Such is the case in the gaming realm as well, where independent developers are responsible for hundreds of unique, fun-to-play titles. These indie games do not garner nearly as much press as their big company counterparts, and that is to be expected.

Indie Game Magazine offers news and reviews on independent games from multiple genres, giving you a heads-up on the latest games created in basements and back offices all over the world. The site itself has a nice, easy interface but appears to be somewhat new. The reviews are a bit shorter than some other sites, but the nice part is most games are reviewed by a group of reviewers - each providing their own perspective.

The forums are not very active, but I assume that may pick up as the site starts to gain a little steam. My favorite part of Indie Game Magazine's website has to be the Demo Download section, which points you towards dozens of free demos!

I woke up feeling very nostalgic today and found myself looking through some old Ultima Online screenshots that I had lying around on my hard drive. Granted, this isn't the same as looking through family photo albums or reminiscing on past loves that have come and gone. Nevertheless, it still brought back some great memories of the MMO that has been copied time and time again but has yet to be paralleled.

UO was, for lack of a better word, the s@#t! Over the years the game has changed hands several times and has undergone some questionable makeovers (ninjas?!!? really?). However, the fact remains that UO is still alive and still has a very dedicated fanbase to boot. They are even offering a new expansion pack, Stygian Abyss, which is currently in beta. From what I've seen it actually looks pretty cool, which means I'll probably be reactivating one of my accounts at some point in the near future.

With all of the progress gaming has made over the years, sometimes the old stuff is still the best. Take a step back in time and see what's going on over at UO Herald today!

The tracking tool itself is so sophisticated that it can track players' time spent on specific areas of a map or where they get hit most often. Their site hosts purchase/download information, example and global statistics, and feeds for all Steam games as well as information on product updates.

As far as the tool goes, this tracking system is one of the best I've seen.

The thing that has always impressed me about Final Fantasy XI is the continued strength of its player community, even seven years after the game's initial release. With a strong player base usually comes a bevy of fan sites, many of which leave a lot to be desired. However, a select few tend to rise to the top and hang around for an impressive run. MyFFXI is one of the good ones, providing a simple yet sophisticated place for the Vana'diel faithful to gather.

Featuring the latest game news, individual member pages designed in a MySpace-esque fashion, and a gallery with several thousand game images, MyFFXI is an active social outlet for those who still play this popular MMO. If you're looking for quest guidance or mob information, then this really isn't the site for you. However, if you want to interact with other FFXI players then I'd definitely check it out.

Videos ranging from dungeon crawls to PvP battles can be streamed through your browser or downloaded immediately.

At its core, the site is a community for gamers that play TF2 (and LFD) and offers a place to talk about the game as well as a place to play it. They host more than 10 active servers. You can also dive in deeper and find tutorials and FAQs for each game.

The main page offers a blog that is updated daily. Most gaming blogs have one, maybe two posts per day. tf2blog.com has at least five, usually more. That in itself is very impressive, but each of those posts also contains quality content, ranging from game play videos to strategy guides.

You can tell a good blog by looking at two things. One is the archive. The other are the categories. tf2blog.com's archive shows the site starting in October 2007, way before the game was released. Each monthly archive is filled with pages of content and after going back and reading a lot of them I was really impressed with the different types of stories being posted. That leads to the categories, of which, there are over fifty of them, ranging from 'achievements' to 'mother'. This blog has so many categories that it's hard to imagine not finding the information you might be looking for about TF2. Obviously from the name the site is geared toward new players, but it offers more than just a place to play against other newbs. Also available are a wide array of forums that are highly active. Here you can find help on anything from basic gameplay to more advanced technical items such as setting up your own server.

When looking at a server page I look for detailed stats and TF2newbs.com certainly has that. They have over ten servers on which to play, but you can easily drill down into the individual server stats. You can even find the geographic location of each server in relation to where you live. You can then dig even deeper and check out individual player stats and compare them to the other newbs that play on each server.

While I wait with bated breath for the game to hit the shelves I find myself trying to digest as much information as possible. This includes any screen shots that I can get my hands on as well as any specifics that I can find about the gameplay itself.

DIII.net helps satisfy this thirst for knowledge with the latest news as well as pointers to the new content found on DiabloWiki. The forums are impressively vibrant and I even found some awesome Diablo III wallpaper for my iPhone there.

The interstitial ads can get annoying, as they seem to pop up a lot between sections of the site. However, they do offer a paid subscription service which not only eliminates ads but also gives you advanced forum privileges as well as automatic entry into contests for beta keys, Blizzcon tickets, and other neat stuff.

The site is a basic vBulletin set up with a front end blog so, as far as the site layout itself, it is nothing special but at least it is familiar. The content, however, is a different story. With over 70,000 posts dedicated to map design it is definitely unique.

The blog is updated several times per week, giving Dave Spohn's insider view on the latest happenings regarding popular online games including World of Warcraft and Warhammer Online. Whether you're new to this type of gaming or a veteran to the scene, About Internet Games has something to offer everyone. The site's forums are not very robust in one particular area, but they do offer some interesting discussions on free Web games.

There are some pointers available, such as a Wrath of the Lich King Reputation guide. Nevertheless, if you're looking for specific quest information or a board dedicated to your particular server, then this may not the site for you. However, if you're interested in getting more of a high-level view of all the genres found in the online gaming bucket, About Internet Games is a worthy destination.

TruthGaming.com is not just a gaming blog! It is also a tool for searching, rating and reviewing gaming websites. At the top of the page is the TG Search Box. Here you can type any combination of gaming related keywords to find sites of interest. For instance, if you were looking for sites that offered World of Warcraft Gold, simply enter "wow gold" and hit Enter or click on the magnifying glass.

ubercharged.net is a TF2 fan site and a really interesting one indeed. The main blog features a nice mix of posts between game news, rants and well thought out stories of game play. Clicking the "Authors" link will show you that they have over 50 contributors, which is very impressive for a game specific blog and explains why they have daily (almost) content.

Their "About" page basically sums up their attitude with the line, "Random crap referring to TF2, hopefully vaguely entertaining. Enjoy." I can't really see how you wouldn't like that. Each blog posts receives a lot of user comments which basically continues this theme. There is also a nice section with strategy guides available. Their forums are more of the same; a nice mix of humor, strategy and BS. They even have their own TF2 server, steam://connect/8.6.3.33:27015.

There really isn't much else I can say about this site, other than you need to experience it for yourself. It's one of the most refreshing gaming sites I have visited in a long time, and will be adding it to my bookmarks for sure.

Have you ever wanted to modify something in World of Warcraft to enhance your gaming experience? Is there a shortcut that you'd love to use but it just doesn't exist yet? The beauty of WoW add-ons is that, in many cases, you can bring some life to your idea and make it a reality. The ingenuity of some add-on creators out there has never ceased to amaze me, but I've always been hesitant to dive in and create one on my own.

WoWAce.com offers a system of developer tools to help you create your own add-ons. The site itself is very clean and easy to use. They state that both new and experienced coders can benefit from using Ace which, in a sense, is true. However, you should at least brush up on the basics of Lua before attempting to dive in.

The real beauty of Ace lies in its extremely active developer community. The wealth of knowledge available in the existing posts and knowledge base as well as the thousands of members who seem willing to help out with newb questions is impressive.

Folks not interested in creating their own add-ons can still benefit from visiting the site as well, with information on well over 1,000 active add-ons created with Ace readily available.

Wikis dedicated to specific games are usually hit or miss and there usually isn't more than one good wiki for each game. TF2wiki.net is one of those good ones that hits the nail on the head. Featuring a MediaWiki layout (Wikipedia) the main page offers you most of the direction that you are looking for when you first hit the site. And the articles themselves are rich and full of the content you want if you played TF2.

As a TF2 gamer, there a few things I look for when browsing a strategy site. I want to see information on classes and maps readily available. On TF2wiki.net these are the first things you see when you hit the main page. Clicking one of these articles brings you a lot of detailed information, including all the secrets and even videos of gameplay. Also available is the "Featured Article" section which leads you to portions of the site that you might not have otherwise seen. And the "Did you know?" section offers random tidbits about the game that even a veteran like me didn't know. The only drawback of the main page is the set width. Only at 1600+ resolution will the entire page be able to fit on your screen.

You can usually tell a good wiki by the use of the discussion tab on articles and the TF2wiki.net community really seems to know what they are talking about. Overall, the site is an asset to anyone that plays TF2 seriously as it will certainly improve your game.

You spoke and we listened. After a long beta period which included a myriad of additions and updates, TruthGaming.com 2.0 has finally hit the virtual shelves. Utilizing a combination of user feedback and our own internal research, we took our time to ensure that TG truly became one of the most unique and useful resources available for today's gamer.

First and foremost is our new appearance and navigation. Our new look is not only intended to be pleasing to the eye but also to streamline the process of getting around the site. Now finding the exact gaming resources that you need is even easier.

Locating what you're looking for isn't the only aspect of TruthGaming.com that has improved. Registered users can now add new games and sites to TG much quicker using the 2.0 interface. Our focus-driven system is more robust, giving you the ability to assign entire genres and platforms to a particular website. In addition, we've removed the "MMO-only" restriction. What this means is that TG now allows all gaming sites, making it the place to be for gamers of all shapes, sizes, and platforms!

Featured reviews, a daily blog, and a vastly upgraded comment system gives the TG community even more of an opportunity to interact and voice their opinion on any and all video game websites and resources.
